An overwhelming majority of #Greenlanders oppose the idea of #American annexation, a poll indicated in January. #Greenland's prime minister has said the #US visit showed a "lack of respect".

Vance & his wife were in Greenland for just a few hours, visiting just the #Pituffik Space Base, a missile defence facility in the remote north of the island, some 930 miles (1,500km) from the capital, #Nuuk. #auspol #USPol

lol apparently the reason JD Vance's trip to #Nuuk was canceled was that they could not find a single person in #Nuuk who wanted to receive an in home visit from the vice president's family.

According to Danish TV they literally knocked on every door in the entire city (not that hard, there's only ~5,000 houses) trying to find someone who wanted an in home visit from Usha Vance... and 100% of the Greenlanders said no.

#PaulWatson appeared in Court in #Nuuk, Greenland today after nearly a month of incarceration at Anstalten Detention Center, one of the most remote prisons on Earth.

The Greenlandic Judge concluded Paul Watson is a flight risk and will continue to be held until September 5th while the Danish Ministry of Justice looks into the case.

Paul’s legal team was not able to present evidence in relation to the Japanese allegations, as the judge was only looking at the extradition request and not
