Happy World Autism Awareness/Acceptance Day, and the start of Autism Awareness/Acceptance Month! Remember that Autism Speaks is a hate group, and you can show your support for actual autistic people by wearing #RedInstead!

My girlfriend is diagnosed with Asperger and I still have a lot to learn
Since I'm also into #HarshNoise the title of this album caught my eye
Unfortunately I can't watch it via Invidious
Can someone from the #Noise community check it out and give a short review?
日本語で Autism を「自閉症」と表記するのをそろそろやめてもいいのでは。「病気」じゃなくて「違い」だよっていうのが、ニューロダイバーシティの考え方なので
It's #WorldAutismAcceptanceMonth and indeed today is #AutismAcceptanceDay.
At TransActual we go beyond acceptance - we celebrate the autistic members of TransActual's team and our autistic trans siblings.
Some people are trans. It doesn't matter why. We're here.
Some people are autistic. It doesn't matter why. We're here.
Some people are trans and autistic. It doesn't matter why. We're here and we know who we are.
This is my first #AutismAcceptanceMonth. Before last September I didn't know I was autistic. I'm still learning to accept and love myself. It's been a crazy journey, but I wouldn't trade it for anything else. It's been wonderful to share these self-discovery moments with the autistic community especially here in the Fediverse. You've always been so kind to me. Thank you. I know I don't post a lot, but that's ok. I don't think I need to post a lot to let you know I appreciate you. Just knowing there's a whole community of us here makes me feel safe in a world that is constantly vile towards us. And autism acceptance month should be every month.
To allistics: You should be doing more. You should be loving us, not pitying us. You should be admiring us, not trying to turn us into something we'll never become. Instead you should be helping us become whatever we want to become. We're diverse, beautiful, and we'll keep resisting and fighting to be loved, accepted, supported, and admired.

#AutismAcceptanceDay April is Autism Acceptance Month and April 2nd is World Autism Acceptance Day ... formerly called Autism Awareness Day and symbolized by a "missing" jigsaw puzzle piece ... We are far beyond awareness. We ACCEPT autistic people as infinitely wonderful, complete, crucial members of our world. The golden Möbius infinity loop represents the never-ending ability of people with Autism Spectrum Disorders to learn new things and grow. #AutismAcceptance #AutismAcceptanceMonth
It's #WorldAutismAcceptanceMonth and today it's #AutismAcceptanceDay. Hopefully it goes without saying that TransActual support and celebrate autistic trans people.
For more information about autism acceptance and inclusion at work, take a look at some of the resources from our friends at National Autistic Society:

Don’t play the fool this April. Here are some things to remember this Autism Acceptance Month:
Avoid the symbols created by Autism Speaks, including the colour blue and the puzzled pieces. Go Red Instead. In the spirit of Nothing About Us Without Us, look to Autistic people for information. However, do not demand their labour for free. Take what is offered. #autismacceptanceday #autismawarenessday
So I have that ND issue where I have that fear of being perceived so if I'm noticed I hide what I'm doing.
So on an #AutismAwarenessDay I really don't actually want people to be more aware of me specifically. I don't need more eyes. I'd rather it be #AutismAcceptanceDay and people accept me for who I am and not pay so much attention to me - just keep an eye out so my struggles and those of others like me are minimized.
A quick reminder this #AutismAcceptanceDay: Some people are trans and Autistic. It doesn't matter why. What matters is that Autistic trans people are valued for who they are - just like any other trans person or any other Autistic person.
April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day. If you are a person with autism, be proud to be autistic and on the rainbow spectrum! Your honesty, focus, passion and deep sense of injustice are traits the world needs! #WorldAutismAwarenessDay #wearblue #LightItUpBlue #AutismAcceptanceDay #AutismAwarenessDay
It's #AutismAcceptanceDay today and #AutismAcceptanceMonth
As an #ActuallyAutistic person i personally prefer these terms rather than #AutismAwarenessMonth and #AutismAwarenessDay
Why,because Acceptance and Understanding is more important than just Awareness

Here is my portrait of #actuallyautistic Hannah Gadsby who I painted last year for #AutismAcceptanceMonth
Watching her #Netflix special Douglas was what helped me see myself and SelfDx.
It's also very very funny and highly recommended.
