Daniel Tóth 🏳️‍🌈<p>Dnes je svetový deň povedomia o autizme. Autizmus je porucha, ktorá ovplyvňuje spôsob, akým človek komunikuje, vníma svet a interaguje s okolím. Netýka sa len malých detí, ale aj dospelých ľudí. </p><p>Tento deň sa týka zrejme aj mňa, nakoľko je veľmi pravdepodobné, že aj ja mám poruchu autistického spektra. Oficiálna diagnostika ma čaká presne o dva mesiace. </p><p>Celý život sa cítim iný, na strednej som bol šikanovaný iba prero, lebo som bol tichý a veľa nerozprával. Je pre mňa ťažké nájsť si prácu, aj preto som dlhodobo nezamestnaný. </p><p>A asi každý si vie predstaviť aké ťažké je žiť na Slovensku s hocijakou inakosťou. Je pre mňa ťažké nadviazať kontakty a známosti, keďže ma väčšina ľudí veľmi rýchlo odsúdi, a taktiež mám problém udržiavať konverzáciu.</p><p>Nemám vo zvyku riešiť môj súkromný život na sociálnych sieťach, no v dnešnej dobe ignorantstva a necitlivosti je potrebné robiť osvetu. Ľudí s autizmom každoročne pribúda, veľa ľudí to zistí až v dospelosti, a veľkej časti to aj komplikuje život. Že štát takým ľuďom iba hádže polená pod nohy ani nemusím písať. </p><p>Autizmus je medzi nami a môže ho mať aj človek, ktorý navonok vyzerá úplne normálne a nepôsobí, že má nejaké problémy. Prosím, nezľahčujme to a buďme voči všetkým ľuďom empatickí a tolerantní. Before last September I didn't know I was autistic. I'm still learning to accept and love myself. It's been a crazy journey, but I wouldn't trade it for anything else. It's been wonderful to share these self-discovery moments with the autistic community especially here in the Fediverse. You've always been so kind to me. Thank you. I know I don't post a lot, but that's ok. I don't think I need to post a lot to let you know I appreciate you. Just knowing there's a whole community of us here makes me feel safe in a world that is constantly vile towards us. And autism acceptance month should be every month. </p><p>To allistics: You should be doing more. You should be loving us, not pitying us. You should be admiring us, not trying to turn us into something we'll never become. Instead you should be helping us become whatever we want to become.
