Sunday mornings after rain in the time of spring via the window. My other favourite colour is pale mauve, and I experimented a while to find colours that are matching with it. With this one, I wanted to apply something special to achieve the via-the-window look, so I started with pale yellows and blues, and covering these with light mauve I forcefully scraped it back vertically to make the blues, yellows, even greens visible again. I strengthened the edges with white to make a slight frame around. I am happy with the result that lets the light warmer colours come through from behind the cold ones, which gives back the feeling of getting into spring from the winter. #window #morning #acrylic #painting #originalart #artwork
