Just using the term "greed" could be misleadingly overly simplified. Plus, "greedy" is often used to unfairly criticise people that are over weight, for example (e.g., in a society in which the food industry sells unhealthy food products using advertising)

Actually, this question would bamboozle me. I have no idea what is meant here by « red-blooded» way of life. Does it means murderous or bloody? This sounds like a very strange question and I'm not sure there is any other answer than a pointed « No way ! »
what do you think?
‘quiet’ by susan cain is one of those books that is so hyped, one just expects to love it—at least if you are an introverted idealist who loves reading in general and psychology in particular. but i didn't. i was missing the science.

Dark Triad Personality Traits
#Psychology #Personality
The dark triad personality refers to three negative personality traits, which all share malevolent features:
Narcissism (entitled self-importance)
Machiavellianism (strategic exploitation and deceit)
Subclinical psychopathy (callousness and cynicism) https://www.simplypsychology.org/dark-triad-personality.html
In my view, President #Putin & #Trump clearly display the Dark Triad of Personality. And that's why they can manipulate (ignorant) folk
A "sociopath" or "tyrant" describes a persons general behaviour (differences in human behaviour) For example, a person that is more disagreeable, is more prone to anger. These, more or less descriptors, are comparisons.
Sociopaths have the dark triad of personality traits. Colloquially, they're more nasty, "charming" but manipulative, cruel, etc.

Who has the leadership role is often due to their personality, dominance for example, NOT specifically their level of intelligence. However, these more dominant types, believe it's because of their higher levels of intelligence (even when evidence suggests otherwise. AKA #narcissism)
The general fact is that if you understand the science of personality differences, you have access to the knowledge that helps you to understand yourself, & other people.

What makes you, you? Why do Humans have different personalities? (Why do birds of the same species have varying beak sizes?)
Everyone has the five 'big' traits of personality, albeit, at varying levels.

For contexts sake, if you often find it difficult, confusing, to understand why politicians such as #Trump (#USA), #Putin (#Russia), #Farage (#UK), or tech bros such as #Musk, say & do the things they say & do (behaviour) , or, if you usually agree with these characters, but, that's because you're either being manipulated or are as superficial as them, do yourself a favour, read this book!

works by Egon Schiele
When I first saw one of his cityscapes, before I saw that they were painted by him, I thought, "those look like cityscapes if they were painted by Egon Schiele." I had only seen his nudes and portraits. It's interesting that an artist can have such a distinct style. Or, really, that artists can't help but have a distinct style? I guess it has to do with materiel and process, also, but, we all live in the same objective world
#personality : that which constitutes distinction of person
- French: personnalité
- German: die Persönlichkeit
- Italian: personalità
- Portuguese: personalidade
- Spanish: personalidad
