I got a lens adaptor from Ebay to test a lens and it was crap, didn't fit properly. So I got a return accepted by the seller. Lovely, Ebay supplied me a free label to post it back, I posted it back and I thyen I got my money back. Today the post arrived and I got the adaptor back. The seller refused to accxept it. I'm not suprised it was crap.

In Account Settings, there's a new 'AI Training Preferences' option. Mine was set to Yes by default, but now toggled off.

I'm sick of this stuff being added without seeking express permission from users.

Re: changes at #ebay today: once we get out of the current political moment with extra boycotting skills and solidarity and have more spoons for smaller stuff, can we please please make it clear to big tech companies via collective action that they can't just get away with eg silently enabling AI training on all user data?

They're not even pretending its to help us any more.

Nach ziemlich genau 26 Jahren hab ich nun auch mein #eBay Konto gekündigt. Das hab ich eh schon lange nicht mehr genutzt und bevor die nun Schindluder mit meinen Daten treiben...

Heute geht mir #ebay massiv auf die Nerven.

Erst muss ich mich durch zig Links klicken, bis ich mal eine Mail an irgendwen schreiben darf statt nur mit einem Bot zu chatten.

Dann erhalte ich eine Antwort, die komplett an meiner Frage vorbei geht und nur aus Textbausteinen besteht.
