@theropologist There's a 7-11 in my town run by a family from the Middle East. I commented on the obnoxiously huge Trump 2020 sticker posted by the door and the owner said that posting it made them less of a target.
No idea if it's the same story with the halal/kosher place, but I wonder if it's a common technique.
@theropologist@beige.party@degaslikevegas That is a possibility, and maybe I should give them the benefit of the doubt on that. They are visibley Muslim in a town where that itself could probably be an issue. On the other hand I know them from their food cart in Portland and they don't have the greatest reputation, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were genuinely fascist sympathizers.
