Most of us know this however, due to a reply I received apparently it needs to be said.
Due to threats to our sovereignty, we Canadians are hurt and angry at Trump/Musk and supporters,
HOWEVER,
Many Americans Support Canadians. and many Are Immigrants seeking Our Shelter and Protection so if you think you should be forming a neighbourhood watch group "in case something happens" just STOP RIGHT NOW! We do NOT want this escalating into viligante groups hurting innocent American residents in our country
The threat from America is NOT from inside Canada, it is from OUTSIDE our national boundaries. The last thing we want is conflict within our borders. Trump would love to destabilize our unity, so welcome your American neighbours and their support, don't shut them out and do NOT turn against them.
Anyone suggesting anything contrary to this will be blocked by me and I would expect the same from all Canadians.
We have a history of sheltering those needing our protection, don't allow that to slip from our grasp.

For what its worth, I hope Canadians realize the entire "threaten Canada" thing is NOT AMERICA, its TRUMP pretending that another of his lies is real, and doubling down on it rather than admit he's nothing but a vessel of hot gas.
I hope you realize it IS AMERICA threatening us.
Trump represents America,
the American war machine so please do not assume he is without power.

I realize perspective makes outsiders incapable of understanding the difference between America the country and Trump the asshole. Its sad yet understandable to us.
He does not represent the majority of people in America. He represents the majority of billionaire dollars, and he's out of control. To say otherwise is highly insulting to actual Americans.
There's no denying his power is a clear and present danger to Canada, as well as America.
Perceptions are reality. Don't allow him to control your perceptions of actual Americans or we're both fucked.
@Sunny Australian here. Sunny, your message that the American people don't hold any ill will toward Canada is fine but out of context here. Canadians like @SnowshadowII aren't concerned with how American people feel, they're concerned about what Trump may _do_ eg command the military to invade Canada and bomb its cities.
If he does that, ordinary Americans will not be able to stop him. And that threat is very real and shocking to Canadians. So a message of "don't worry, he's just bluffing" is not going to be welcome.
