Edit: I feel like I was a little hasty posting that. I think it is entirely possible to welcome in international students such that they are able to make the most of opportunities here and simultaneously provide serious, meaningful, quality physical & mental healthcare provided that it were an actual democracy which we are living in and not a thinly veiled fascist state. Healthcare has been weaponized, afaict.
@manas_ Yeah & the fact is international students are not responsible for our domestic public health care or housing crisis issues. Those existed before international student policies were ever changed. Those problems stem from capitalism & our governments failing to put people over corporate lobbyists & their own political power/status quo for the privileged interests.
Many domestic students leave to live & work in other countries after getting higher education here. This has been a domestic brain drain issue since I was in university college in late 90s - it's still happening now.
