A few mountain scenes explored recently around Alpental, WA. Been trying to find more about the geology of this area, I heard a while back these peaks were once the top of a massive volcano mountain that sank becoming very steep and wild low elevation terrain. Washington apparently had 25 super volcanos that have come and gone but identifying the details has been challenging. I have been trying to find some good geology resources for Washington if you happen to know of any?

Erciyes, whose ancient Greek name was 'Argaios' during the Roman Empire, is one of the most beautiful and magnificent mountains in Turkey. Erciyes, the highest mountain in Central Anatolia with a height of 3917 meters, is the peak of the ancient Cappadocia region.
