The Giants are off today & are due to play a 2 game (2 game?) series vs the #Padres in San Diego.

This will be the 1st time that the Giants have played another team in their division this season & its a chance to extend their lead over the Padres if they can sweep but realistically the best I,'d hope for is a split.

In the meantime, I can get enough of rewatching yesterday's "walk off" "little league home run" achieved by Ramos with the assistance of the #Rangers.

With the score tied at 2 in the bottom of the 9th inning, Heliot Ramos hit a soft bouncer fielded by the pitcher, who, in his haste, threw wide of 1st base. The ball went bouncing into right field. Ramos, who had slowed as he approached 2nd, suddenly turned on the jets, sprinting for 3rd. The Rangers' 1st baseman (a position not usually occupied by the player with the best arm) threw wide of 3rd base, so Ramos lumbered toward home plate, fell into a mighty slide, and crossed the plate ahead of the throw from, I presume, the 3rd baseman. Little League rides again! A 2-error run-scoring, bases-empty, barely hit, single.

Holy 💩!!! 😲😲😲

Giants win 2-3 in the bottom of the 9th with a walk off "inside the park HR" by Ramos assisted by 2 throwing errors by the #Rangers on an infield dribbler thrown away by the pitcher & another throw away when Ramos headed to 3rd.

Crazy little league type play to end the game!!! 👋👋👋

The Giants took the series 2-1 & remain in 1st place in the #NLWest with a record of 19-10, 1.5 games up on the #Padres at 17-11 who lost to #TampaBay & 1/2 game up on the #Dodgers who beat the #Pirates today.
