Another researcher currently visiting the IFI for a six-month research stay is Ghasem Gharib, a lecturer in history at the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran.
Ghasem is a specialist on Iran in the Mongol and Timurid periods, and is a member of the Nomads' Manuscript Landscapes project. In his fellowship with us he will be looking at the history of Sufism in Iran and Central Asia: his current work is focusing on a Sufi Saint, Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani.
