Going by the reactions I get on some of my 'toots' people rarely realize just how poor the Russian countryside is. That is everywhere in that vaste country outside the two big cities Moscou and Petrsburg. They probably have seen Tucker Carlson salivating on [in] the subway or supermarket and assume its like that everywhere in Russia.
Well it is not !
I follow this YouTuber for years now and some situations still amaze me. It is a country consumed by alcoholism and poverty, both by government policy. I know one thing: if a country has these kind of YTdo-gooders there's a good chance somethings wrong with the country ! [That also goes for the US]. Russia is a country extremely big with very much resources. But it is also a country that concentrates wealth instead of spreading it. [Again like the US] Like any 3rd world country. This campaign was brought to my attention by one of those YouTubers I told about. Suchomimus. [1 patch]
The Kraken group was formed in the first days of the invasion to defend Kharkiv, and they did so successfully. Civilians with ordinairy jobs chose to fight for their country. After that they recaptured large portions of the surroundings. Highly decorated they continued and became a highly specialized special group within the UKr Army.
The Azov group should not need any introduction. When other, less couragious, parts of the Ukr Army fled for the invading Russians, they kept defending Mariopol. For months they defended and were trapped in a steel factory. They had to give up because of the civilians that sought rescue there also. Most of them were captured, taken prisoner and tortured by the Russians. Those that came free in POW exchanges went right back to fight. These elites make Russians crawl in fear.
These guys remind us that the only way to victory is the defeat of the Kremlin !
