@TheBreadmonkey I genuinely feel a bit affronted when there’s more than one other person. Which is totally wrong, I should be glad that people are using the station so they don’t close it
@purplepadma @TheBreadmonkey I was a bus commuter for years and I always enjoyed it most when the routes I used were sparsely populated.
There was an animation that went around on Twitter years ago showing the crazy amount of street space you could free up by moving people out of cars and into a bus, and I remember thinking at first it seemed very inspiring, but I started to get uncomfortable as the bus filled up…

i have had to deal with unsavory characters on the bus.
@amiserabilist @maxleibman @TheBreadmonkey I used very busy buses all the time when I lived in London, it was mostly OK but now and then some man reeking of booze would fall asleep leaning on me

I rarely get the bus. I never get the bus. But I got the bus recently. There were a number of people eating a full lunch near me, then man soaked in urine sat on top of me, then I think I witnessed a spy and then an elderly gentleman entered the bus and sang (loudly) She'll Be Comin' Round the Mountain When She Comes. It was the weirdest fucking experience of my life.
@TheBreadmonkey @amiserabilist @maxleibman I do not know how to drive a car. So bussing it is very much a fact of life for me. It’s not always bad. Today on the bus from the station to campus a very friendly hijabi lady patted the seat to encourage me to sit down next to her and she smelled absolutely beautiful.
