Wait, so you're telling me the powerful elites got behind some nutjob that they thought they could control only to find out that they in fact can't? If only there were some kind of historical precedent that could have warned them of this possibility.
@theropologist
The other day I mentioned Project 2025 to an acquaintance and they said they had heard of it but knew nothing, so I suggested they download and read it. Sadly I mentioned it would be about 800-900 pages.
He scoffed and said, "More than a headline ? I have better things to do than read a book"
<sigh>
And there you have why the US is a mess. (And Canada is hopefully not next)
@SnowshadowII @theropologist Canadians better pay attention, especially considering that Harper & Co (that includes the CPC) are deep into the Heritage group #cdnpoli
@CodieneC The Hertitage group is linked with Harper's IDU, likely funded by the IDU's global membership. @theropologist
@SnowshadowII @theropologist Heritage Foundation has been working for decades & it appears their efforts are paying off :(
@CodieneC yup, they are effective. : (

I think Rachel Maddow and Joy Reid have bullet point type summaries on their blogs. That's a little less overwhelming.
@CatHerder @CodieneC @theropologist
It's a little too late now. He should have read it before the election. Besides, I doubt he would have accepted even a bullet list because each time he brought up points like :"Trump was great for the economy", and I started quoting facts, he changed the subject. His mind was set in cement. Like most Trumpsters.
But if he read a little history, he would have noticed the "warning signs".
People just refuse to read.
@SnowshadowII @CodieneC @theropologist
Cheezus was an all time loser in several economic metrics.
The guy admired Cheezus' hatred because he shares it.
The rest is smoke and mirrors.
@CatHerder
Yes, I have to agree with you.
Trump gave people permission to expose and act on their ignorance and hatred of what they don't understand.
