UPDATE: Thanks to another very helpful Fediverse user my question has been answered. This is why it's so nice here--people helping one another.
Tor Browser question:
Does anyone know how to get rid of the borders? While on fediverse I can only see 3 columns at a time and have to scroll sideways to view a fourth.
@SnowshadowII about:config -> privacy.resistFingerprinting.letterboxing=false but at that point just use Tor with a normal browser instead of the TBB

@SnowshadowII type about:config in your browser's address bar, click through the warning, search for "letterboxing", and toggle that option to false
do remember that it's going to complain at you about it afterwards because it's terrible practice to disable things like that in the tor browser

They must have made a few changes with Tor because a few years ago it was incredibly s l o w....

@soop No kidding! I am very pleasantly surprised. It's faster even though I moved and now have painfully slow internet.
