@nellie_m @ohmu Just an observation, I keep seeing MAGA people talking about how Liberal people want "Safe Spaces" like somehow people having a space where they can be themselves and feel safe is a bad thing, when that's how we'd all like to live. What kind of person doesn't want people to feel safe and happy?
They are angry that people don't think they are safe to be around

Sure, but I was specifically commenting on how their world view is so myopic is that they feel left out when there exists a space that is not meant for them.
They feel personally aggrieved they are confronted with the fact that someone doesn't feel safe around them. A safe space they are excluded from is, by definition, a declaration that there are people who do not consider them safe to be around.

They don't see themselves as violent. Most people who are quick to resolve discord with violence feel they are justified in their actions.

No, safe spaces do not mean you are included if you're nice. It doesn't matter how nice I am, it would be wildly inappropriate for me to enter a space not meant for me. Being nice has nothing to do with it.
Imagine someone going to a support group for something they do not personally deal with. You wouldn't want that space full of people who empathize but haven't ever lived it.

I feel like you've answered your own question there.
The kind of person so insecure that they need to make sure all the other bullies in their echo chamber see them bully somebody too - so they're not kicked out of the bully club.
