We really don't have to worry about the Trolley Problem, because, in most cases, they were public transportation, and got defunded.
We can all be safe in the knowledge that everyone loses!
@RickiTarr
I love that the "Trolley Problem" is credited to a British philosopher and "Trolley" is an Americanism for"Tram".
In the UK a Trolley is a shopping cart so the Real Trolley Problem is getting one that goes straight.
@raymierussell @RickiTarr we also had trolleybuses, but they don't run on rails.
@RickiTarr In the US the Trolley Problem is there aren’t any trolleys.
@RickiTarr the real trolley problem is do cities build trolleys and very very occasionally they hit people, or do they not and only deal with the deaths from emissions of the vehicles the trolleys replace?
@RickiTarr
The trolley problem has a third option: change the lane WHILE the trolley is passing. It derails the trolley and everyone (outside the trolley) is safe.
It should really be a Driverless Car Problem.
