So I stayed up until 3am watching the #GE2024 #GeneralElection2024 & then caved when I knew the result was in the bag!
I’m running on 3 ½ hours sleep , there is a high chance that I may make less sense than usual 
Oh it’s Friday btw , I think, possibly ….
One thing has definite not changed :

You did it wrong way around. I went to bed normal time and got up 4ish when bladder alarm went off. Got to see Mogg go, hung around till the lettuce wilted then went back to bed.

We were up til 6, hoping to see Truss…
The people of Norfolk have not disappointed as much as I feared: Reform only third in our NW Norfolk, but took Gt Yarmouth. Lab took three seats from Con. Greens and LibDems, one apiece. A few Con holds too.
And Truss ousted by Labour. She didn't look too happy in the video clip I watched. Several times.

Friday, and I decided to take the day off. It would be nice if I could sleep in. It just didn't happen.

Do you normally have elections on a Thursday over there? If you'd like to borrow something back from the colonies, we have elections on a Saturday and I highly recommend it. No need to take time off work to vote, AND you can drink as late as you like into the night (in celebration or commiseration) and take the next day to recover ;)

We don't let silly things like elections interfere with our weekends and no one takes time off work to vote. Any weekday is good and it takes less time to vote than going to the local fast food place.
