@mad_asshatter The difference is McGregor cannot stand for election to the Presidential office, without the backing of the Oireachteas or several councils in Ireland just to stand - and he would subsequently need the public vote to exceed that for any other contenders - he will not get such a backing or such votes.
Ireland isn’t the USA [thankfully].
