As happy and relieved as I am about the Wisconsin Supreme Court election result, and truly I am, I am also discouraged that voters still don't understand that Voter ID laws are always disingenuous, created to enact voter suppression. We already go through a dog and pony show in order to vote. You don't need to enshrine that into your state Constitution. It only causes harm and disenfranchises the most vulnerable.
@kimlockhartga our state has been a model (and quite successful, mind you) for mail-in voting for several years now.
Naturally, one of our republican state senators has decided to float a bill requiring in-person voting, and setting up for a lot of these ID shenanigans.
Well, the submission system for public comment, pretty much got DDOS'd from all the Oregonians telling him to shove it up his ass.
Pretty sure the bill is DOA, but the story still unfolds..
