It’s mongreyduck in Minnesota, of course
(Explainer for those not steeped in the Ways of Minnesota: Instead of “Duck Duck Goose,” kids here play “Duck Duck Gray Duck,” a perverse local custom which of course violates both scripture and the laws of nature)
My wife was born in Minnesota (though she moved to Texas when she was pretty young) and she remembers “Duck, Duck, Green Duck”
Get it together, Minnesota.
@rk @inthehands i have never ever heard green duck. perhaps she was so young at the time that she mis-remembers it?
Definitely possible. She moved to Texas when she was three or four.
@inthehands Yep, that's how it's played. ( or at least how I played it many many years ago) You go around the circle calling out different colors, sometimes trying to trick someone into thinking you are going to say grey duck by saying green duck. Helps little kids memorize colors too :)
Definitely the superior game for multiple reasons. :)
