If you want to know that you're getting a merit-based selection, then expand the talent pool and let everybody have a shot.
@ned As a white guy, I'm always ashamed of the stupidity of some white people who complain about immigrants "stealing" their jobs.
It's either a back-breaking job that no "white dude" wants to do because it is badly paid and super hard
OR
It's a job that requires a level of education (e.g., Master's degree or Ph.D.) that those same white people do not have because they don't "believe" in education/science.
Either way, immigrants didn't "steal" anyone's job!
