My biggest millennial trait is that I loved Calvin and Hobbes as a kid, and didn't notice that I turned into Calvin's dad

@geekysteven Unfortunately, we can't make jokes about growing up before the world got color. Instead we have to resort to telling horror stories about dial-up internet.
@geekysteven This makes me miss Calvin & Hobbes so much. I wish the creator would write a strip about Calvin’s kid(s) or let someone else do it. There was a one-panel strip someone wrote about Calvin’s daughter years ago that was so good.

My son (a young blonde kid, loves playing with cardboard boxes) just said, "go do something you hate, being miserable builds character!" I died multiple ways.
@geekysteven I stopped reading the Calvin and Hobbs reruns because I keep worrying about what he would be like when he grew up. We never get to see him meet an adult who can handle his behavior in a constructive manner.
I think Wallace the Brave is a worthy successor. The Sunday spreads are often beautiful and the community of characters is fully supportive of childrens' wildness.

@geekysteven @NilaJones My goal in life was to be a combo of Calvin's dad ("why are old photos black and white?" "the world used to be black and white") and Mr Huxtable for my kids. That last one sadly didn't age well, but I think I nailed Calvin's dad :)
