@geekysteven@beige.party If time goes faster as you grow older, how is that linear?
@geekysteven it was a lousy story line in a lousy series. Totally not Star Trek. Embarrassing, really.
@piratero you think Emissary is bad?
@geekysteven @piratero a Starfleet starship captain pretending at being a an emissary for gods living in a black hole is an abomination in Star Trek.
There is no possible argument here, no plot line twist, and absolutely no forgiveness. It’s not Star Trek.
@piratero kinda sounds like you didn't watch the show
@geekysteven @piratero as you choose. Makes no difference. It wasn’t trek.
@geekysteven Feeling called out by this one.
@geekysteven Alternatively: Don't trust guys who break off their marriages and then choose to move back in with their mother.
@geekysteven it’s amusing to me that you are at exactly the same point on your DS9 rewatch as I am.
@geekysteven but why are you replying to *this post* with a sisko meme
@dasfrottier what do you mean? The Sisko meme is the OP
It's true, though.
For those saying #DS9 wasn't Trek, I strongly disagree. #DS9 was the Trekiest of Treks. That it was set on a space station, couldn't just move on to the next planet after each mission, and had to deal with fallout and answer some hard questions are all pluses, not negatives. The themes of peaceful coexistence and cooperation were still there, even as it acknowledged that those things are only possible with willing participants.

*sees narrative about the long-term consequences of war and genocide through a sci-fi lens*
"This is nothing like Star Trek "
@geekysteven look, it was a decision to not have a station counselor
@starkraving666 "oh you have trauma? Get in the space hole and take it up with the time gods"
