"Chook" is not a word that I have ever seen written and one have only heard in movies.

But have a feral one at a gas station (servo) in Hawaii.

Darting between the wheel of a Jeep (ute) and a bus stop is a small dark chicken. The roof of the bus stop shelter has put the bird in shade for moment.
