Imagine having every advantage, but still being such a failure, that all you've managed to accomplish was a Fascism.
And let's be real, these whiny narcissists will go down as some of the worst people in the history of this continent by the time this is done, just generally hated by everyone. All the people wondering, but how could this have happened.
@RickiTarr I admit...I'm terrified that they won't and that they'll be the ones writing the history books for a long time to come. I know that eventually they will lose and the truth of all of this will be out there but it scares the hell out of me that we may be looking at a bit of wait until that happens.

@alien @monkeyninja It is scary, but I do try to remember that there are few things more documented and well studied than the work of Fascists. I just wish the average person would get it.
@RickiTarr @alien I also try to bear in mind that historically, fascists have a 100% loss rate, they always lose eventually. It scares me how long that sometimes takes, but I am finding some solace in the idea that this will not last forever.

@RickiTarr I think it's also a "the enemy of my enemy" thing. If you hate the Democrats, for example, that makes this disgust even more attractive. Generally, it plays into such people's hands that it's more about the respective camp than the politics themselves.

Given that one fairly likely outcome of this trajectory is global ecosystem collapse, future generations, if they exist at all, may not have the capability to study history very much.
When no one else can stand you there's religion and fascism.

I hope it ends the same way for them as all the other dictators.
"The same way" implies failure of the US citizens to get rid of them in time, and ultimately also most of your cities being bombed to rubble by foreign powers.

I think what @shram86 means is it ends that way for them immediately so the others don't have to go through that. Presidents in this country sometimes die in office, and Musk says he's on Ketamine. A lot of my country---'s actions show that them going through that anyway is an option, so I'm not saying this to miss any of them: let's get out of here and let it defeat itself without us./gen

And yet they blame the same ones that they were supposed to help. Telling us that "we should be grateful" under the same breath that they pass red border laws and neglect trans women that get exploited by cops.
