:neuro: Pixy's Journey :v_bi:

of a rather busy and slightly sore Dutch Pixy 🧚🏼‍♀️ (Friday, 28/03/2025).

@tldr 🤖 please do your thing for me!

I woke before the alarm. Got to the scale, which was a little less nice to me. Got dressed, took my meds, and prepared Arwen's food. She went out for a wee. And then she was happily eating and I put out the snacks and I grabbed my bag to head to Skoosh.

I enjoyed my protein shake while I waited for the meds to kick in. Was checking my socials and then I saw a text from my mum. She never texts this late. Hmmm 🤔. Well it wasn't good news, but, in a way, it was good news...

Without sharing too many details, mum has a small hole in her diaphragm. They closed that some time ago, but apparently, it's back... Some of her intestines got though the hole. And they block up the "usual flow of things". So when the usual meds didn't help, they admitted her to the hospital. So she finally gets some relief. And hopefully they can schedule the surgery (she was on the waiting list already) soon.... But that threw me off a bit. I was glad that she was getting help but I was also a bit worried...

I offered some help to her and dad and then I tried to do the usual things at the gym. But my mind was a bit preoccupied... I rode the seated bike, had a massage in the chair, and then headed to Skoosh again.

I washed up, changed, had brekky, and then Arwen and I went out for the usual SniffiVerse™ walkies. We had a decent enough walk, so that was good. I managed to work on my blog a little and with some help from AI, I "made" a simple cover art thingie for a playlist on Spotify. I have to say that I really like the cover, so I'll share it here. 😊

I didn't do any exercises after the walkies. I knew I needed some spoons later to help dad, so I worked on my blog instead. I also finished the second season of "Totenfrau" on Netflix. I really enjoyed the series. 😊 Then I fixed some food. Arwen and I went out for walkies. When I tried to open the door, Arwen's friend was walking up. So of course we went for another round. 😂

I relaxed a bit with some gaming after that. No Man's Sky had a big update, so I wanted to grab that and try it out. 😊 I played a little and then I logged off so I could get ready to start the chores that I still had for today.

First I took Arwen to the vet. I also got the meds for her friend B, so that N didn't have to ride the bike to there to get them. Then we visited the Jumbo so I could get some groceries for dad, as mum was in the hospital. Onwards to Nijmegen. I walked the dog's and then dad was ready so we started the work on the cleaning of Smurf (their car).

I had told dad of the things I could not properly do. So I ended up doing them anyway... 😔 Yeah apparently, dad could do those things even less, so they were still up to me. 😢 So when Arwen and I headed home, I started to feel some ouchy here and there...

I fixed some food for Arwen and myself and then we got ready for walkies with N&B. We had a nice walk and Arwen had some splashes! Then we relaxed with some telly till it was time for us to get ready for bed. Arwen did a wee, so that was good. 😊 I took an extra painkiller and went to bed.

It didn't take too long to fall asleep. I woke once for the loo. When I woke again, it was about an hour till the alarm. But my body was sore, so I just had to get up. The scale was an asshat, ugh... But yeah, let's start the weekend and see if I can relax some...

@PixysJourney TL;DR: OP had a busy day involving work, vet visits, grocery shopping, car cleaning (mostly done by OP despite delegating), family emergency (mom hospitalized), and dog walks. Despite the chaos, OP managed some self-care (gaming, TV) but ended the day sore and exhausted.

@PixysJourney TL;DR: Busy day for a Dutch pixy: gym, dog walks, vet visit, grocery shopping, car cleaning, family emergency (mom hospitalized), and gaming; ended the day sore but relaxed.

@PixysJourney The image features a dark, gothic scene with a central figure resembling a werewolf. The werewolf stands on a hill, holding a large, ornate cross with lightning striking around it. It wears a black robe with red accents and a large cross pendant, and its eyes glow red. The background includes a large, blood-red moon and a gothic cathedral with spires and intricate architecture. The sky is dark and stormy, with lightning bolts visible. In the foreground, there are several lit candles on stands. The text "Powerwolf" is prominently displayed at the bottom of the image in a stylized font.

I hope your mom issue is fixed soon. Hugs 🫂

@ldmay65 TL;DR: Busy day for a Dutch pixy: mom hospitalized (diaphragm issue), gym, dog walks, chores, vet visit, grocery shopping, car cleaning, gaming, and more. Body is sore.

@PixysJourney Just trying to catch up a bit on social media. So sorry to hear your Mum is in hospital and I hope she gets her surgery and is on the mend soon. Are you able to get carers to help your Dad out in the meantime rather than putting yourself in more pain? 🫂

@LJClements8
Fankoos dear 🫶🏻. She is scheduled for an OP now, but not till the 11th, which is a little late to my likings... 🤔 They don't know yet of she needs to stay in hospital till then...
Dad isn't too bad, it was just the issue with the car cleaning... That I told him I couldn't do certain things and I ended up doing them anyway, because "he could do them even less than me". But now it's mainly some groceries, and I'll dog-nap the dog on Wednesday, when dad is out all day. 😊
I'll be OK I guess, it's just a bit "out of the routine", so it will take a bit more energy. But I rather help them than have things go badly while mum is in hospital.
Fankoos 🫶🏻 for your support! :ablobcatheartsqueeze:
