I think I just killed a frog!
I was looking where I went because I knew they would be around. But then Arwen sent into the field and I shone my light on her. I kept walking, and then felt something under my foot. I immediately pulled it up, but it was a frog...
Been so careful and then when I'm distracted for ten seconds, one is crossing the path in a darker bit...
So now I'm wiping some tears and feeling so guilty...

Uhh. That is a terrible feeling. Sorry. A bird will eat it and survive.

Aaaah yeah the circle of life! But of course I feel bad about it, since I tried to pay attention for the whole stretch and I thought I was doing ok... Just don't like killing animals (though I do eat limited amounts of meat, so that's a bit hypocritical of me... 
)

I can imagine you really did due diligence.
One day I was watching a crow try to get a snake. The snake was keeping it away. They noticed me and the crow stopped. I got a picture of the snake and started walking on. A car turned the corner and I thought about waving the car down to warn about the snake that was exactly the same color as the road. I made the error that the car was situated to miss the snake. The crow had dinner.

Owwww.... Yeah.... That sucks then.... At least the circle of life was working here too, and the crow could feast. But yeah, I'd still feel bad about the snake too!

Sorry. But, you didn't mean to and no matter how upsetting this is, that's what counts. Plus, are you sure it wasn't already dead, they normally move out of the way.

Yeah... I don't know if I really killed it.. I didn't inspect it that well, as I was just feeling so bad over it...
At least the birds will have a snack later on, I guess...
@PixysJourney It's understandable! I was afraid I had hit a rabbit once out in the country; I tried to stop but it ran in front of me. I'm still not sure if I hit it, but all that's to say that it happens.

Owww yeah, we have many rabbits and hares here and they do like to jump in front of the car, when there's so many better ways for them to jump to... So I totally understand that! It happens, unfortunately... Even when we do our best to prevent it.

yeah, someone pointed out that it may have been dead before, as they usually jump away. And someone else said it would make a nice meal for the birds. Circle of life and all... But still, I wish I had not stepped on it. It felt horrible...

Nope... And I'm already struggling a bit with my dark monster at the moment... So this was a kick I didn't need.... Ah well... I'll keep trying to go forward...
