If I could choose my own destiny, my closest friend and I would run a seasonal tourism business in a beautiful part of Alaska. He'd handle flightseeing and I'd run the campground. Our big attraction would be the five-story-tall Xtra-tuf boot that our gift shop runs out of. We'd get licensing for it. People would pay $11 for hot dogs. It would be so great.
Our job titles would be "Best Friend."
@HG I would gladly pay $11 per hot dog at the largest boot in Alaska!
@HG what would be your spot? I fished out of Naknek for several years and man, Katmai would be my choice.
Edit: actually, don't say. That's for you, your friend, and the dream. I'll come when the xtra-tuf is built.
It'd have to be on the road system, which is a shame because Naknek/King Salmon and Lake Clark are so stupendous. Probably on the Kenai. No real plans. Just daydreaming.
@HG hmm, hear that. I suppose tourists usually don't like arriving by barge.
Good dream!
@HG
“Whatever you conceive & believe, you can achieve. Believing is magic.”
@HG If I could choose mine, I would earn obscene amounts of money cleaning lint out of tumble dryers, then spend that money eating hotdogs out of a boot in Alaska.
There was a @HG
Who lived in an XTRATUF® boot,
He had so many hot dogs,
And loved them all, too.
He said, "Thank you Lord @LRRRonEarth For sending them bread."
Then kissed them all gladly
and sent them to bed.
