#DIYDay again

Work for an hour or so, insulate for 30 mins, rinse and repeat.

This stuff is itchy and scratchy... So I change into clothes to do the insulation, then change out, scrub down my arms, face & hands (because the gloves make my hands sweaty and sticky).

But I am at least 60% done, 4 sections on one wall and 2 sections on the bedroom wall left to do. Then once the electrician has been in tomorrow to move the ceiling light on the landing back to it's original position, and put in the wiring for 2 down lights on the stair bulkhead we built at the weekend... I'll insulate that space with either acoustic (if there's enough left over) or regular 150mm loft insulation.

As there is no longer a radiator on the landing upstairs (not worth having a small one again as the space has been reduced by 1/3), the bulkhead, not only reduces the amount of space that needs to be heated, but funnels rising heat up the stairs onto the small landing area. With the extra insulation I put in the loft at the start of winter last year... It should help keep the area warmer, especially as the area around the front door will be a cold spot (hence insulating the floor directly above it before the new floor went down).

I'll be finished with this later today... Have to squeeze in some work too.
