Journal – Week 16, April 2025

On Monday, a friend and I went for a quick trip to Ikea. Normally we spend more time there, but with Arwen feeling a tad poorly, we both didn't want to linger too long. On Tuesday I had PT and I contacted the vet to ry and get meds to help Awen. Wednesday, I was able to pick the meds up, and start with them in the evening. Thursday, I went to Germany again with mum. Friday was a more relaxing day, as I was rather tired. Saturday, I took Arwen to the Herperduin, which she loved. Sunday, we went to the Herperduin in the early morning. Followed by a visit to Nijmegen. Forgot to make this in time... 🫣 So the Monday is missing. There was some rain in the night and morning, and then sun and 17°C. The rest of the week looks colder and greyer, which is a bummer... Quick links to the days of the week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. […]

As many in the world become more and more overweight--at levels that were unheard of even a few decades ago--we may unintentionally be giving a massive advantage to viruses that thrive, incubate, and even lay dormant in fat cells.

Regardless of Covid's origins, it's one such virus that falls under this category of a virus that thrives in the obese.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and for some viruses: Big is Beautiful.

Journal – Week 15, April 2025

What a week this was... Started with a trip to the Zoo, but it was a bit shorter than I hoped, as many loud kiddos came into the park... Tuesday, I had a relaxing day, just some groceries and chores. Wednesday, I was not feeling too well, so I took it very easy and lay on the couch a lot. Thursday started OK enough, but later, Arwen didn't feel too well, and I was a worried, sobbing, hoomum. Friday started well too, as Arwen seemed to be feeling a tad better again. I got some groceries for mum, who had her surgery today, so I needed some distraction till, hopefully, the good news would come. The weekend was a mix of good moments and moments of sadness. All went well with mum, but my worries over Arwen kept taking over my emotional state... Some sunny days, some grey ones, maybe some rain. Warmer days but a few colder nights... Quick links to the days of the week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. […]

Regarding #Trump's recent physical...

1. Trump lies. Constantly. About everything. It's his default state of being, and is as natural as breathing to him.

2. Trump has a massive ego and also a massive inferiority complex. He needs constant fluffing and reinforcement. He has to be told he is better, handsomer, smarter, everything-er than everybody else.

Put those together, and you get:

3. The things Trump lies about more than anything else are ... himself. He cheats at golf to win tournaments at clubs he owns, so he can be "champion". He brags about first-placing in contests or comparisons that didn't happen or which don't rank participants at all. And on and on...

What's this got to do with his physical?

Well, he announced his results and it says he's 6'3" and weighs 224 pounds.

Which, if true, would mean he's 5 or 6 inches taller than me, but weighs the same. Anyone familiar with how scaling a 3D object up by linear factor X affects mass is now laughing their guts out.

He is *far* more obese than me. Of *course* he's lying about his weight. If he's less than 270 pounds I will eat my hat, and it would not surprise me in the least if he weighed 300 pounds.

So, do you want your government run by a pathetically insecure man-baby who has to lie about his weight to feel better than everyone else?

Shame on his doctor putting his signature to such bullshit.

Journal – Week 14, March/April 2025

It wasn't an usual week. Mum was still in the hospital till she was released on Thursday. I had physio on Tuesday, when I also "showered" Skoosh. Skoosh got her TLC (maintenance) on Wednesday, so I wanted her to be a bit cleaner for that. I exchanged the cars on early Wednesday morning, and I also took Bas (my parent's Dachshund) with me, as dad would be taking Skoosh to the garage, and he had another appointment in that area. So Bas would not have to be alone all day. On Thursday, I took Bas back, exchanged cars, did groceries for my parents and me. And, unplanned, I picked up mum from the hospital. Friday I worked in the garden a bit, and I repeated that on Saturday and Sunday morning. After the hard work, I needed to relax, so I enjoyed some gaming time, accompanied by a lovely friend on the chat. The weather forecast, some shilly nights, but decent days, and there could be some sun involved as well. Not too bad... Or so the forecast says... #FitIn2025 – March edition

The third month of the year. Spring is slowly arriving, or so I hope bringing some better weather. And, hopefully, the better weather will also mean that my body will be less painful... 🤞🏻 This month, I have my hip puncture test, to check for infections, for an upcoming hip surgery. I should get the results this month as well, so hopefully I'll know more about the surgery soon... The bad hip cup is giving me some issues through, that's how we found out it needed surgery to begin with... So it does limit me in the exercises that I am able to do. But, as mush as I can push myself this month, I'll do my best to improve as much as I can. February didn't see too many changes, so yeah... It's making or a bit harder to stay motivated when your results aren't the best... Nevertheless, I'm gonna try... 💪🏼 […]

Journal – Week 13, March 2025

It was a weird week for sure. Not just weather wise, but also with the happenings and all that. The week started normally, with an easy Monday. On Tuesday I got the call from the surgeon with the update on my hip. Wednesday we had walkies with a friend. Thursday was the usual Germany shopping day. But then Friday started a bit differently. The weekend I tried to relax some more, as Thursday and Friday had taken quite some spoons from my limited stock. Not too bad a forecast, no real cold days, not too much rain, unfortunately also not too many sunny days... But at least it should be dry and not too cold, most of the time... Quick links to the days of the week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. […]

Journal – Week 12, March 2025

A busy week. Monday, we went to Nijmegen for the hairdresser. Tuesday, I went to Cuijk for PT and I gave Skoosh a shower, as (according to her papers) apparently, she should be white... 😉 Wednesday was for some relaxing. Thursday was the usual Germany shopping day. On Friday, I finally had my GP appointment to talk about my ADHD being out of whack at times. The next few days, I took Arwen to the Herperduin a few times. The weather became a little less lovely, but still not too bad... Unfortunately, my body decided that it had to annoy me some here and there, which kinda brought down my mood and motivation some (this is sarcams, of course...). Well, colder nights, but some warmer days. some had a chilly wind, but there sure were some nice and sunny (warm) moments. 🔆 Quick links to the days of the week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Journal – Week 11, March 2025

A mixed week, weather wise, chores wise, pain and emotions wise... The puncture on Wednesday was definitely something that I would not mind if it never happened again. Thursday was the usual Germany shopping day... The weekend I tried to relax a bit, and had a few nice gaming sessions with a dear friend. All sorts of weather predicted for this week. Warmer, colder, sunny, grey, wet... It will be a mixed week, weather wise at least... Quick links to the days of the week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday. […]
