The theme is #BanjoYay -- songs with banjos in them -- for today's #TuneTuesday.
In high school, I went to see a comedy show called Steve Martin Mull, featuring those two. In searching the internet just now for something about that show, I went way further afield and down memory lane than I had intended. Anyway, I found this song, released in 2015, with Steve Martin's excellent banjo and Edie Brickell's vocals.

For #BanjoYay #TuneTuesday I offer The Dubliners' "Octopus Jig"

Willem kicks off this blues on banjo, singing the tale of a desperate man looking for his love, making a deal with the devil on the gravel road.

It's #TuneTuesday once again, and this week's theme is #BanjoYay, courtesy of @moonshinebrigade.
Does the banjo get the attention it deserves in our musical lives? Some say maybe?
Anyway, If you've ever wanted to hear what Rick James's "Super Freak" would sound like if it was covered by Ricky Skaggs and Bruce Hornsby, then I've got good news for you!
It was! And it's. Got. Banjo.
Tuesday theme: favorite songs with banjos.
The Hollies are going back quite a ways, but they have some incredibly melodic songs and are a favorite of mine. Here's a song that features the banjo.
