Prunus x yedoensis 'Akebono'. A cluster of flowers against an overcast sky. Each flower is single, the petals delicate pink, the pollinia orange. Raindrops on the petals.

Vancouver parks dept suggests this is Prunus avium 'Mazzard', Mazzard cherry, but I'm not quite sure of that. White flowers, single, orange pollinia, fully open, against a white sky. It's a very large, very old tree, with a huge and gnarly trunk.

In a crevice in the gnarly bark of the big Mazzard Cherry, a tiny fairy crouches.
