beige.party is one of the many independent Mastodon servers you can use to participate in the fediverse.
A home to friendly weirdos. The Grey Gardens of the Fediverse (but beige). Occasionally graphically cacographic. Definitely probably not a cult (though you'll never be 100% sure). Beige-bless 🙏

I managed to get up for the 5k FSotM around Norton Common today; massive difference from last time (~6 min faster). That’s owing to lack of mud rather than increased fitness.
Think they’ll be a delay in results as I understand an ooops meant numbers weren’t given out to everybody, meaning they have more times recorded than participants. Mine will be easy enough to place. I was last. #Letchworth #running

Beautiful sunny morning. Had a few muscular twinges and aches going out. They are all still there, but nothing got much worse on the run.
24 miles done, so my longest run before the marathon (and ever!) It's still 4 weeks out, so I'll still keep the miles up, but spread them out over the week.
Pleased I've got this far, I always thought these distances were beyond me.

No #parkrun for us this morning, as we're in a country that doesn't have them*

So instead we're going out to the beach for paella. I'll do more #running later in the week. Hope everyone had a good time today.

*our nearest that doesn't require a sea crossing is Milan, nearly 2000km away by road.

🏃🏽24K Long run + 2K Cool down

A long run ending faster; “Tempo Closer” (is my nick name for it). 18K easy, then 6K faster.

After that I took a few Kilometers to run back home.

Legoland is opening today - ran past it. People were already lining up to get in. Good calm weather - some sun with clouds ⛅️. Me and the family might just drop by later 🤩

Today I finished my last #run of 15 weeks of training for the #halfmarathon in #Bonn. I'm thankful that I had no issues with my knee the whole time. This year, I won't aim for a new personal best (1:33:45), even though both #Garmin & #Stryd predict almost the same finish time as last year.
I think anything under 1:39:59 is fine. The big goal this year is the #Marathon in #Cologne — and for that, I still have many limits to push

To the #runners in the Fediverse: Does anyone know of a simple metronome app that doesn't need a lot of permissions? A metronome app specifically for runners where you can set the duration and intensity (e.g. 1 min 180 BPM and 2 min 160 BPM)? Or are there #developers that can build something like that and out it on F-Droid? 😉 I have a simple Meteonome but there you can not set time and Intervalls.

Morning peeps :)

I could not sleep at all last night, the bruised ribs have really spoiled new found ability to sleep. I hope I can find that good sleep pattern when I'm fully recovered, and I don't backslide into the mega bouts of insomnia that have plagued me, for most of my life..

As I was awake I decided to go for another walk, hmm, maybe more 'Young Shuffling' than walking today, but staying mindful not to put undue stress on my still healing ribs.
