Via #LosAngelesCounty: Our monthly free #produce event will take place Wednesday, April 9 (9am-11am)

LOCATION:
#Pomona Wellness Community
750 S. Park Ave, Pomona
 
No registration required.  First come, first served, while supplies last. Entrance to event on Park Ave.  You are welcome to bring your own reusable grocery tote. Consider bringing a cart with wheels for easy transport.  

 
Each household must have a family member attending the event in order to receive a produce bag.

Good morning Mastodonians!

#WSDOA put out this chart a while back, which shows which #Washington #produce is in season at a given time.

Sharing it here with an eye towards #MealPlanning under #Trump #tariffs, as a helpful #shopping guide.

This info can help you identify which #vegetables are likely grown in #WA, which of those are tasty and priced to move, and therefore which ones you can probably afford to buy.

- resist pointless #tasks to create time for deep thinking,
- set #boundaries at work to avoid #burnout,
- say “no” to tasks, resisting that we should always strive to #produce more,
- automate #repetitive tasks to free up time for #creative tasks.

Holly Loff, a grant writer in Western Colorado & the fmr dir of the Eagle River Watershed Council, said a continued pause on funding would cause a lot of #financial pain for communities near the #ColoradoRiver, such as those with economies dependent on water-based recreation, & people far away, like those who buy #produce that is grown w/ Colorado River #water.

What a nice place.

This supermarket is close enough to the house that I can walk like I did today on a day off.

When traveling Shank's Mare (walking), I have to restrict how much I buy and not too many "heavies."

Later in the store, the egg coolers were locked with a "call attendant" button nearby. Not true. 😁

Egg prices didn't seem that much, but I'm not fond of them, so I almost never buy. If somebody is making a Benedict, I'm all in.
