It's edible. It tastes very bitter & best mixed with other ingredients. Roots & leaves are good to make into tea - analgesic, anti-spasmodic, diuretic & expectorant properties.

Cheering up the garden (3 for 2 in Morrisons!) #primroses #flowers
The early purple #orchid contingent was putting on a wonderful show alongside the #bluebells (and the last of the #primroses) in this classic Cornish #hedgerow earlier #today.
I recall that these orchids were very rare hereabouts during my #1970s childhood. Improved hedgerow management, decreased pesticide use, and an improved general awareness of these gorgeous plants really seems to have made a difference 
The winter garden jewel box contains a colorful assortment of Primroses: Primula Hethor Coco Purple, Primula Hethor Tagetes Mix featured here. They are short-lived here in Georgia, but too pretty to pass up for a few weeks of winter joy.

He also wrote,
"A man's #Nature runs either to #Herbs or #Weeds."
In 1606, Francis created the #Garden #Walk at Gray's Inn. The idea was to walk among the #Violets, #Primroses, #Cherry #Trees, & #Birch. People loved it.
