Watching some podcast where they talked about how phone and social media negatively impact youth and how it increases depression and they backed it by some studies. (They did mention how different studies show different things) and while I do not say these studies are false or something, they are not really accurate for my experience. My whole life I was escaping social interactions as much as I can and watched YouTube videos, played games or talked with people online because social interaction just always tired me, and this is where my dysphoria and/or depersonalization may cause it, but I feel like I subconsciously ignored all my social interactions because I wanted to avoid people using my deadname (which I hate when people do and always did) and avoid being referred to as a boy idk honestly I don't remember much childhood but it seems most plausible because I don't really recall being abused or neglected.

Idk how to better explain this, but with irl social interactions I feel more wasted and miserable (maybe not depressed, but not really enjoying it) while on internet, especially when I come out as a trans here I feel like my depersonalization is no longer like it weakened.

Also I feel like I always subconsciously knew I was trans, because seeing those 'top 10 women who were once man' type videos and just knowing about existence of trans women kinda resonate with me, like I subconsciously knew I was one.

Having a vivid, detailed #memory and #imagination is both a blessing, and a curse.

I can build worlds, and stories inside my mind; It makes me a gifted story teller/writer.

I can learn new things quickly, and remember them effortlessly where most struggle.

I can remember everything about someone, even years later, and take care of their heart.

I also remember every horrific thing that's happened to me, it haunts me every day, and is easier to come to mind.

At age 90, Renée Richards plays a lot of golf, but in the 1970s, the former professional tennis player and ophthalmologist made headlines after transitioning to female and winning the right to play in the U.S. Open. During her half-decade pro career, Richards peaked at 20th in the world. These days, she believes trans women who transition after puberty should not compete in women's sports, but she condemns broader restrictions on transgender...

Individual differences in personality can explain why some of us are more likely than others to contribute to community welfare. A new analysis, based on 29 studies of more than 90,000 participants, finds that sociability and assertiveness (extraversion) correlate positively with volunteering. In other words, extraverts are more likely to do volunteer work. Meanwhile, agreeableness correlates more closely with a willingness to give money to...

Happy to say that my intention to not open a news app after 6 pm is really working. I also only have a few news folks that I follow here and have learned to mute them in a rotating order so I get to read each of them, but it certainly limits the amount of news in my feed.

Except news of my friends, which which seems more important anyway.

For now, this is the way.

Wow.

Interesting story, just because it's important to know this is actually real.

But *fascinating* for #psychology students, #psychiatrists & #mentalhealth experts.
