#Lochranza #Castle on #Arran is an exuberant mix of colours and textures. The stones are mostly green and purplish Dalradian rocks, with pale red Permian #sandstone tarting up the door and window frames, along with random bursts of colour elsewhere, as if the builders were playing.

I was focused on exploring Lochranza Castle and didn't notice the couple in the distance when I took this photo.
I like the splash of colour they bring to a rainy day — and the optical illusion of the red canoes behind his red jacket, so that he seems to have wings and is about to take flight or is spreading his arms impossibly wide so as to embrace not only her but the whole world. It's a happy #photobomb.
