für ein Forschungsprojekt sind wir (ein paar Wesen aus der @binary_kitchen ) auf der Suche nach der zentralen Steuereinheit eines Pfandautomaten, genauer:

Ein Tomra T-820, ist ein Auslaufmodell, könnte also aus alten Supermärkten, Marktauflösungen, ... ähnliches sein

Falls ihr jemanden kennt oder so was ganz zufällig selbst im Keller rumliegen habt, wir suchen!

Anyone with #LibreOffice experience that knows how to style images using the context "styles" pallet? I have good success with the text styles, but applying a style to multiple graphics causes them to ignore the aspect ratio. Even with that setting selected. I suspect the context style has a fixed size for height and width regardless of the size of the image it's being applied to.

Also, can I be sure each image has it's local properties cleared?

Question: When I approve follow requests, how do I then go back and follow them in return? I can't find any 'history' of approving follow requests. #fedihelp

Kann man eigentlich jede Ukulele, die symmetrisch aussieht, einfach für einen Linkshänder mit vertauschten Saiten nutzen oder müsste man da an den Schlitzen, in denen die Saiten liegen, Änderungen vornehmen?

When I see a user with an interesting sounding server I have to manually copy the domain, open it in a browser and when I want to follow an account I have to search it again on mastodon.social

Or is there an app that supports exploring the fediverse better?

Can anybody give me a hint for a good #book to learn to play #ukulele ?
Until now, I learned with Andreas #Bördlein #UkuleleLernenSchrittFürSchritt but now I played through both of his books and most books on Amazon are intended for beginners (starting with C and F...).
A book with videos would be perfect, but I'm desparate enough to have a look at everything.

(Sorry for my bad english, wasn't able to use it for years... But I can understand it, so books in english are ok)

1.) Arbeitet eine (Windows10 64-bit) VM genauso wie ein natives Windows-System, es erstellt auf der SSD eine Auslagerungsdatei fürs Caching?

Is there any way to set up automatic cross-posting between 2 separate Mastodon accounts (on different instances)? All I can find is tools that let you cross-post to other platforms like Bluesky, X, etc.

I can only think of maybe 2 specific use cases myself, so perhaps no one's bothered to make a tool for this... Or maybe I'm missing some really obvious solution?

Yesterday, I set up my own single-user Fediverse instance using #GoToSocial. Eventually, this account will be my main presence on the Fediverse and (using BridgyFed) BlueSky.

But.

Before I pull everything and everyone over, there's a few things I need to take care of. One is waiting seven days before BridgyFed starts federating this account to BlueSky.

But the other biggie is moderation.

So, Mastodon and GtS instance admins: Are there particular blocklists you're using? And any tips on setting it up?
