Lesser celandine is a bit of a mystery. There are carpets of it at a time when not much else is in flower. Yet it is rare to see any pollinators on it.

I wasn't sure at first if this was an insect at all but this is a very early sighting of a dock bug (extremely abundant in this area) and it was clinging to a celandine.
