beige.party is one of the many independent Mastodon servers you can use to participate in the fediverse.
A home to friendly weirdos. The Grey Gardens of the Fediverse (but beige). Occasionally graphically cacographic. Definitely probably not a cult (though you'll never be 100% sure). Beige-bless 🙏

Sprint Planning. Final Sprint for an MVP

PO: "Yeah, we need to some documentation for this. It all needs created."

SM: "I mean, documentation is part of our Definition of Done, so we've been doing it as we go along, right? This should only take about 5 minutes." <rofl>

@ceejbot I’ve never experienced anything that would suggest to me that #Agile, in any of its real-world implementation, actually made software projects faster, more predictable, or more manageable beyond basic task-tracking and burn-down charts.

In fact, the best technique I’ve seen that encapsulates the spirit of Agile is the feature demo. “What is the smallest change you can make to demonstrate this feature, and when can we see it?”

Like I said, I find a weekly task priority review and burn-down tracking gets you most of what you need to ensure the project remains on track, assuming the general product direction is something everyone has bought into.

Looking forward to the concert tonight at the Philharmonie Berlin:

And tomorrow my new job starts. What a great ending to being unemployed.

I'm super thankful that I'm back at work and have a bit of structure again in my life. I'm not good at just hanging around.

+ I can work in my favorite domain in an #agile environment where they don't see it as a sprinkling of agile fairy dust in some corners. I support teams and people to become self-organised.

Join me tomorrow (Tue) evening in my talk on "Probabilistic thinking in Product Management".

Probabilistic thinking is a core skill in digital business and Tech when it comes to decision making under uncertain conditions and limited data.
Gazillion of prioritization frameworks won't do much (except damage) if we don't understand the underlying principles of decision making.
