Also (Gah, Caity, you’re talkative today!) strange side effect of new medication that I’m noticing - maybe? The neurologist started me on #Gabapentin 300mg 3 times a day for #TrigeminalNeuralgia. I’ve been on that dose for a couple of weeks now.
I trained as a classical/concert band musician, my ambition was to be an orchestral flute player, went all the way through AMEB for flute and theory/musicianship (5th grade piano.) All the going to music camps (thanks, heard the jokes). Did the usual choirs, (alto) etc. Got a bit derailed and didn’t go further, but did play in concert bands later. Then, long period where music was pretty dormant. I stopped enjoying it somehow. It’s been starting to come back. Then Gaba, & POW, I’ve GOT music again, I can HEAR the orchestra, I can SEE the notation (not completely, it’s like, coming back in bits, like a rushed exam, writing down a score?) So either I’m going psychotic or something’s waking back up? Anyone else? I don’t mind it, just… hmmm.

It's been raining, snowing & sleeting for like three days straight. My joints hurt so bad. Sour weather & cold air trigger my trigeminal neuralgia too. My face burns like a cut with lemon juice & peroxide & my teeth hurt like they're being drilled I haven't been able to eat all day cuz of my face & teeth hurting. I can't lie down & sleep cuz I hurt too much & I'm hungry.

Arvo, Toots! Mental Health Nurse Skype complete, I’m off for a fiercely competitive (but fun) round of Trivia later today at the mental health place. Always a treat, because the players are all autistic, and we tend to argue the answers!
And in new, fun, #TrigeminalNeuralgia news, I have been deaf in my left ear since yesterday arvo. (Maybe it’s not TN but something else, and I am not going to look at Dr Google.)

Outside in the cold air for less than ten minutes and my face has been hurting for hours since I haven't eaten dinner yet and am drinking tepid water bcuz eating and cold drinks can make it worse. This sucks. #TrigeminalNeuralgia #ChronicPain #NEISvoid

Ugh, my face started hurting after taking my sister's trash out late fall & winter is always so hard cuz cold air is my biggest trigger. I was only outside for like 45 seconds too.

Don't do this to me in the #morning! I'm doing a #RoyalMail #complaint as a #Tracked24 #parcel #delivery was 2 days #late & left at the wrong house. I'd put "no safe place" and leaving it with a stranger even if you put a note through, is totally unacceptable. This on top of screwing-up the #tracking. To make matters worse the #verify they used was this #migraine inducing horror.
I'm so cross.

What happened to #silentsunday with #birdsong in the #garden. My #husband has to wear earplugs to do the #gardening. I can't go out for more than a quick grab of #laundry off the line. The #boomboom #rave type #music has been howling from 3 #houses away since 9am. They do it every time the #sun is out. #Rural life here has changed. #trigeminalneuralgia

Well today isn't going to be easy. I'm being #dismissed on #medical grounds. No surprise.
I'm trying to get the #illhealth #retirement #forms completed (it is complex and #stressful).
In spite of knowing it's still awful. #Training for the #job was long, stressful and meant 7 years on next to no #money. At least I've had practice for being #broke, except this time it's worse as there's still 3 years to go to my #statepension

I only go out #masked as a #covidzero determined never to catch #covid. No longer able to #work owing to #trigeminalneuralgia I don't #socialise at all. It always seems to include #eating, #drinking or #noise. #Warmer #weather makes #masking hell so then even #walks stop being #fun.

Of course not.
Luckily I don't have to claim #benefits as I 'languish' at home with #trigeminalneuralgia after 7 yrs training to get my #job. But just like those who have to claim, I'd jump at the chance to have my #health & #working life back.
More than any other #Government, this one is so deluded they all think they're #medical experts.
