@tldr please do your thing for me!
I had a restless night. I woke several times due to silly reasons, mostly because of stupid dreams that were triggered by the nasty comment some bully left me on one of my toots... I woke with the alarm, and then went to the scale. Ow, at least it was kinder to me, as I was just below the 80 kilos.
I got dressed, took my meds, prepped Arwen's food, and let Arwen out for a wee. She was happily eating when I got my bag and headed to Skoosh.
I caught up with the notifications while I waited for the meds to kick in, and while I enjoyed my protein shake. I rode the seated bike for half an hour, which seems about the max time that my leg will allow it these days. I had a massage in the chair and then I switched shoes and headed back home again.
I washed up and had my brekky. It was weird not to be greeted by the little black furball, but it was also good to just be me and Arwen again. After brekky, Arwen and I headed out for the SniffiVerse™ walkies. The weather was decent enough, with 8°C and it being dry. At the open area, there was some wind, making it a bit chilly. Arwen wanted a longer walk, so I let her have all the sniffs.
When we got back, I got my laptop and I worked on my journal blog post. I tried to add decent (AI) alt texts and all that. When I finished most of it, I prepared my food. Arwen and I both enjoyed it. And then it was time to walk Arwen. After that, I had a wee bit of relaxing, during which I played a little of NMS. Then I got my bag and I headed to Skoosh. Drove to the Appie for some groceries. I needed two of something, so naturally they only had one... So I'll have to try and get another one next week. Ugh... Bummer!
When I got back, I relaxed some, until Arwen wanted her walkies. On our way back she was a lucky gall, as N&B were heading our way. Nomnoms! Haha! After the walk, I picked up the garden tools at N, and I was able to borrow a shovel from their neighbors, which helped me a lot! It was hard work, but due to the shovel, I got so much done!
I worked on the garden for a little over an hour. Then, my body just said a big nope! I was sweaty, tired, and getting very sore. But, even though it wasn't finished, I sure could see the difference between the "before and after" snaps that I had taken.
As it was really sunny, I decided to wash Arwen's paw towels and her winter jacket. They were in need of a wash, and at least the electricity would be cheap this way.
I fed Arwen and then I was able to relax a wee bit. When Arwen wanted walkies, I felt I was wagging like a penguin as my right leg and my back just were to sore. We got back, and I got my relaxing garden chair, and my eReader, and a cold drink...
I enjoyed some time in the back garden, with some sun, and I was able to read two chapters of my book. Yay! When I wanted to head inside to prepare things for the last walkies, my brain was like "wait, what if..?!". So I got the shovel and tried to loosen up several of the weed bits in the back garden. Maybe they can dry out a bit and then I can take them out as well.
After I did that, and my hands and arms were like "nope, no more!", I prepped the bed time thingies. I went to the loo and then Arwen picked me up. Apparently, N texted when I was on the loo, saying B really wanted walkies. So... On our way we went! The weather was really lovely and the dogs had a nice time at the puddle. But the puddle is in need of some rain for sure! As it's getting smaller and smaller and more muddy... But there's no real rain in the forecast yet? It's been the most dry March we've had in years, so the land is in need of some good rain. And, while I do prefer it being dry when I need to walk Arwen, I also know some rain would be good for the nature...
After walkies, I relaxed on the couch a little. Then I let Arwen out for a wee, and I got to bed. I had another restless night where I woke several times until I finally drifted off till the alarm woke me. Ready to start the weekend!
Ello sweet and lovely Friendos
I is back! Woke up to some very sweet and lovely replies to my last Toot yesterday! And I really appreciate it I had a bad night with stupid nightmares thanks to that asshat. They triggered my past trauma and I guess I let it get to me too much...
so your kind messages really meant the world to me! I tried to reply to you all
and I'm sorry for babbling too much with some of my replies!
Yesterday was a busy day that didn't go as planned... The dog's were good though, although Arwen was disappointed in me... I didn't take them to the woods as mum was "ready" to be picked up from the hospital. In the end, I had to wait 1½ hours before she got the release papers, so I could have easily walked the dog's first. But mum could not have known that....
And then I checked my messages here and I got a nasty one. It triggered me in all the wrong ways, and it ended up in me having a horrible night.
So when I got up and saw your kind messages, that really did me good! Fankoos again!
Today should be a less messy day. The weather is said to be good, so I wanna get some of my garden tools from my neighbor, and then try to get some of the bigger weeds out of my front garden. As it's getting really bad now. it's a lot of work, and my hands won't like it, but it really needs to be done. So hopefully my neighbor doesn't need the materials and I can work the garden for a bit...
I hope to be able to game this weekend! I made a good start with NMS and then I just couldn't play... I still have some time to finish it, but I'm eager to get it done, as then I'm sure to get all the rewards...
Let's see how long I can ride the seated bike tonight. The scale was nice to me though, as it was just below the 80 kilos. Yay!
Anywhoo... Fankoos so much for your support I really appreciate it!

@tldr please do your thing for me!
I woke from a long sleep about an hour before the alarm was set to go off. I really had to go, and then I started my usual routine. The scale was well... As usual as well. I got dressed, took my meds, prepped Arwen's food, and I let her out for a wee. She was happily eating when I grabbed my bag and headed to Skoosh.
I caught up with the notifications and chats while I was enjoying my protein shake (and waiting for the meds to kick in). I rode the seated bike for half an hour. And then I walked the treadmill for one kilometer, not too fast, but with a slight incline. I enjoyed a ten minute massage and then I switched shoes and got ready to had home again.
A quick wash up, a change of clothes, some brekky, and then Arwen and I headed out. Arwen seemed a bit reluctant to come, she was slow and asking for many cuddles. So we took it slow and after a bit, she was happily getting all the sniffs. She also did her business a lot! I wondered what that was about. As she didn't eat anything different and we had our normal walks and all that... But I think she felt relieved and then she happily trotted along the way. I worked on my blog a bit and watched a bit of streaming series.
When we got back, I changed clothes and I rode the hometrainer for half an hour. Then my neck, hands, and leg were being asshats... I even took some extra painkillers so I could relax a bit. Arwen wanted some earlier walkies, but then was disappointed that she didn't see the neighbor. Well, can't have it all Arwen!
We headed out around 7 again. And then I hoovered the downstairs area. I got my bag and headed to the supermarket after that. I had no food...
And was getting a bit hungry (I thought I still had something in the fridge, but I thought wrong, whoops...).
I got my groceries and when I was back home, my bestie called. She was later today, and we had a chat while I prepped and started eating my meal. After that, I had a wee bit of relaxing and then Arwen wanted out again. While we were out, N&B came as well. We had a nice walk. And then they came along with me, as N was sweet enough to help me with the hanging of the privacy screen in the back garden.
And I could have never managed this on my own. It was a challenge with the two of us. And, of course, having two curious furballs with us, that didn't help either! When I was upside down, they tried to kiss me or get between my legs!
We sure had some laughs! But in the end... We got it hanging! It needs a finishing touch, but my hands were so sore, that I'll do that some other day.
The neighbor and B went home again, and I fixed Arwen some food. Then we relaxed on the couch. But not too long, as an hour later, Arwen wanted walkies again... Oof I was getting really tired...
After walkies, I had about 1:30 to relax with some telly. And then... You guessed it! Arwen and B had some nice splashes and fun, which was the most important thing.
I relaxed a bit and around 15:15, I took Arwen out for a last wee. Fortunately she did one, so we could head to bed. It took a short while to fall asleep, but...
I woke after an hour, needing a wee and being warm. I fell asleep again, only to wake an hour after that! I was so warm. I opened the window, and then I slept for about 4 hours. And then I woke again for the loo, but I wasn't to hot anymore. Then I woke again about ten minutes before the alarm. I didn't feel as tired as I expected, so I started my day/night, to try to make the best of it...
#Journal of a slightly stressed Dutch Pixy (Thursday, 27/03/2025).
@tldr please do your thing for me.
The day started a bit earlier as I woke up from a very loud sound. Apparently, it was an airforce plane, a big one, coming over at only 650ft, and I felt like I was shaking in my bed... So I was wide awake and I got up... Did my usual things, like the scale, getting dressed, meds, and taking care of Arwen. She was happily eating when I got my bag and headed to Skoosh.
I checked my social media while enjoying the protein shake, and while waiting for the meds to kick in. Then I got to the seated bike and I rode for 35 minutes. I had a massage in the chair and then I changed my shoes and headed back to Skoosh.
At home I washed up, changed, and had my brekky. After that, Arwen and I headed out for walkies. It was a colder night this time, and I was glad for my warmer jacket and pants. The weather was good though, so Arwen and I had a lovely walk.
When we got home, I changed clothes and got to the treadmill. I walked for 45 minutes (3,3km) with a 3% incline for 40 minutes. Then I switched clothes and fixed food. Some relaxing on the couch until I had to get ready for walkies with Arwen and to head to Nijmegen.
We were a bit earlier as mum had an appointment at 11, so we had to be done and home then. All went rather well, but I was a bit overstimulated in one go the stores. I tried to get some food and the whole shelf was filled with one taste. The one no one wants... They usually have 4 tastes and one of them I love. So I was all bummed out. Then they changed things in the freezer and I had to look for ages to find something. The cashier didn't help things either, as she didn't have any space for me to put my bad down properly (the whole packing area was full of silly booklets). And instead of stopping the treadmill that takes the groceries down, she just kept it going, so it was a huge mess and well, I got very stimulated. I worked begind a cash register for plenty of years to know that this is not the way...
So I snapped and for angry. Unfortunately, mum had to endure it...
We headed back to Nijmegen. We managed to visit three stores and still be in time for mum's appointment. When mum was done with the groceries, I took the dogs to the woods, so that she'd be home when they would come. So we came back at 11:15 and of course there was no one to be seen. We had hurried and they were late (as usual).
I got my groceries and we headed back home. I fixed food for Arwen and then I took some frozen dog food to N&B, as it was for B. Arwen and I relaxed on the couch till it was time for walkies with N&B. We had a lovely walk and the dogs had fun at the puddle. It's getting smaller and smaller, as it's been a while since we had some decent rain...
We relaxed some more on the couch and then I got ready for bed. Arwen did her wee and then we went to snooze. It didn't take too long to fall asleep. I woke once for the loo, after a very weird dream, and then about 40 minutes before the alarm. I got up and started my day/night.
It's been a few days since I did a "three good things" Toot, so I'll try one now, before starting my exercises at the gym...
Three Good Things
1. Had some nice walks with Arwen, both the SniffiVerse™ ones and some to the Herperduin.
2. Been reading my new book and I'm really enjoying it. Loving this gift so much...
3. Watched some "new" (to me) series and have been enjoying them, giving me some relaxation while I've been stressed due to the health bits and bops.
4. (sneaking one more in) the scale showed me weights below the 81 kg for two days now... (and 4 days below 82). It probably won't last, but it does feel good to not be at 82 anymore...

@tldr please do your thing for me here!
I woke about half an hour before the alarm. I got up, and the scale was a wee bit kinder to me. Ow, nice... I got dressed, took my meds, prepped Arwen's food and let her out for a wee. She was happily eating when I got my bag and headed to Skoosh.
Caught up with social media while I was enjoying my protein shake (and while waiting for the meds to kick in). I got to the seated bike and rode for a bit. After 25 minutes I had to stop. When my leg was a bit better, I walked a short bit on the treadmill, just half a KM, but with a slight incline. I enjoyed a massage on the chair and then I headed back home again.
Washed up, had brekky, and got ready for walkies with Arwen. We had a nice walk and Arwen even rewarded me with a nice selfie. When we got back home, I changed clothes and headed to the hometrainer. I rode for half an hour. I finished my journal blog post and I started a new (to me) TV series on Netflix.
I watched "Totenfrau" a while and I fixed some food. Then Arwen wanted walkies again so we headed out again. When we got back, I changed clothes and walked half an hour on my treadmill. After that, I got the hoover and did the downstairs area. Then I got the mop out and I did the easy to reach bits with it. I was exhausted when I was done. But... I had done it! Yay me!
I washed up, changed clothes, and then I tried to relax on the couch a bit. Arwen was annoying me for quite a while that she wanted out. But it was too early and I just needed a wee bit of rest before we'd be heading out again.
We had a nice walk and Arwen was lucky to see N&B again, as she scored some extra nomnoms. When we got back, I relaxed on the couch. I watched another series on Netflix, Stay Close, and I really liked it. So when that's done, I should get back to Totenfrau.
I fixed some food and then Arwen wanted walkies again. After which I got back to the couch as I felt so tired. Just when I was getting ready to head out with Arwen, I just texted N, my phone rang with an unknown number. I hesitantly answered, as I wasn't expecting the hospital for another 90 minutes. But it was the surgeon! There was no infection, we could schedule the surgery, the waiting in list was about 2 months... Ah ok... Anxiety over the call went, anxiety over the surgery began!
We had a good walk with N&B. Then some relaxing until it was time for a last wee for Arwen. I was so tired... Went to bed and it didn't take too long to fall asleep. I got my eBook and didn't even get to read from it! I was exhausted...
Woke once for the loo and then again, half an hour before the alarm. So I got up and started my new day...
