The following is a transcript for Cosmic Dash Volume 4, Episode 3 – Page 36.

Panel One

There is a close-up shot of Dash Kameku’s eyeball. Dorian D’Lazmuh is palpating the bruised socket and shining a light into Dash’s eye. Dash has a noticeable scar on his eyebrow.

Caption: Med Bay, Lucky Strike II

Panel Two

Dash is blinking his eyes to adjust to the change in light. Dorian turns off his light.

Dorian: Oh yeah, that shot to your socket is going to leave a nice scar. But, the swelling should go away soon. You can sleep in your bunk tonight.

Panel Three

Dorian fidgets with the light, clicking it. He continues to update Dash on his injuries.

Dorian: The sword cut is pretty deep. Just watch the wrist.

Panel Four

A shot of Guugel’s pod. The pod is dramatically lit and eerie.

Dash (off-screen): I may crash here tonight.

Dorian: I get it.

Panel Five

Dash raises his arm to check if he smells after Dorian’s comment.

Dorian (off-screen): At least go take a shower or something.

Panel Six

Dorian waves away his comment.

Dorian: You don’t smell that bad. It’s more of a self-care thing.

Dash: Nah, I get it.

Panel Seven

Senn “Kracker” Toucair emerges suddenly, He’s thrilled and has a wing wrapped over Dorian’s shoulder.

Kracker: DUDE! You didn’t lose the eye! That’s great!

A wild, short story from the archive. I made this back in 2021 and it's one of my favorite comics.

Police cars come speeding in.

A bank building is surrounded by the police.

Bob, a disgruntled farmer with a double barreled shotgun, is inside the bank with a few hostages. He sees the police arriving and yells, panicking and sweating.
Bob: OH NO! THE COPS!

Close-up of Bob, almost crying and in despair.
Bob: CAN’T GO TO JAIL.
Bob: OH GOD NO. CAN’T GO TO JAIL!

Bob pulls a woman (called Elsa) toward him.
Bob: YOU! COME WITH ME!

Elsa: NO PLEASE! NOT ME. I HAVE STOC—
Bob cuts her off.
Bob: QUIET!

Bob, nervous and sweating, has one hand on Elsa’s shoulder and a shotgun pressed to her neck.
Bob: I’M SORRY, LADY. I DON’T WANT TO DO THIS, BUT I CAN’T LET THE BANK TAKE MY FARM AND I CAN’T LET THE COPS TAKE ME. NOW WALK!

They take one step outside the bank.
Elsa: WHAT’S YOUR NAME?

Bob: BOB.
Elsa: CAN YOU FLY A HELICOPTER, BOB?
Bob: YES, I CAN. WHY?

Suddenly, Elsa yells at the cops forcefully and assertively.
Elsa: LISTEN UP! HE DEMANDS A FUELED UP HELICOPTER WITHOUT A PILOT!!!

Bob is really confused.
Bob: WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?
Elsa: WE NEED TO GET ACROSS THE BORDER, BOB.
Bob: BUT… I… I…
Elsa: NOW PULL ME BACK INSIDE.

Just before they get back inside, Elsa once more shouts instructions at the cops
Elsa: AND PUT IN TWO PARACHUTES!!! YOU’VE GOT FORTY-FIVE MINUTES!

Once inside, Elsa grabs a backpack and commands one of the bank tellers.
Elsa: AND YOU! PUT ALL THE MONEY YOU HAVE IN THIS BAG OR THE CUNT, I.E. ME, GETS IT!

Bob and Elsa run toward the helicopter. Elsa looks determined; Bob is shocked and scared, holding the bag of money.
Elsa snaps a last threat to the cops.
Elsa: DON’T TRY ANYTHING FUNNY OR HE’LL PAINT THIS ROAD RED WITH MY BRAINS!

The helicopter lifts off from the intersection, leaving the police behind.
Elsa: FUCK YEAH! WE DID IT, BOB!!!
Bob: BUT… WHERE ARE WE GOING!?

A police helicopter approaches.
Elsa: SHIT! WE’VE GOT COMPANY!

Elsa fires the shotgun at the police. A deafening blast fills the small cockpit. [BLAM]

The police helicopter is hit and crashes to the ground, smoking.
Elsa: GOT THE FUCKERS!

Elsa: HEAD FOR THE BAHAMAS, BOB! SOUTH-EAST!

When flying over the Bahamas, Elsa and Bob jump from the helicopter. Elsa leads, confidently. Bob is terrified, dangling from Elsa’s hand. The bag of money is strapped to Bob’s stomach.

The helicopter continues flying on its own. Elsa and Bob descend with parachutes toward the tropical island.

Some time later. Elsa and Bob are lounging on the beach on beach chairs, holding cocktails. Elsa is completely relaxed, sunbathing in her underwear. Bob looks awkward, sitting half-upright with his overalls sleeves and pant legs rolled up.
Bob: SO… STOCKHOLM SYNDROME, YOU SAY?
Elsa: YEP. REALLY SEVERE. HAVE HAD IT ALL MY LIFE.
Elsa: ANYWAY, I THINK WE SHOULD GET MARRIED AND OPEN A SEAFOOD RESTAURANT, NAMED BOB & ELSA’S SEA SHACK.
