Benson is not a fan of me washing his favorite bed.

It’s the one he’s been having breakfast in, so it’s getting a little filthy.

I have another one just like it, but it’s one Leeloo uses more. So it doesn’t have HIS smell embedded in it.

Benson doesn’t really hang out at the couch much these days, especially as he no longer is able to get up on it. But moments like this make me glad I got the bedcouch thing on the floor in front of it.

Got Benson’s shoes on a little early for his vet appointment so he can adjust to them. While Leeloo is quick to get up and going, Benson takes a little bit.

Benson doesn’t wear his shoes as regularly as Leeloo wears hers, because he hasn’t needed to. But he’s been having trouble with the floors at the vet lately.

Benson had a bit of a bad day today. His health continues to decline. Usually, when he’s at the vet, he seems pretty good to go. Even the vet notes he looks good, typically.

But today, he couldn’t hide it anymore.

He’s so exhausted from today.

He’s having a hard time hiding it from me as well. He’s needing help from me more and more.

Benson using the new thing had an issue.

He went to get up and his butt slid off the side and he got stuck. He couldn’t get his feet under himself to get up. It took time and a lot of effort to fix it.

He’s good to go now. And he got his cookies and cheese. But, man, it’s so rough. This was meant to help him.

I have some ideas on moving forward. We shall see if it pans out.

I found folding lounge things on Amazon and had considered them for a while. In part, to add a smaller but large footprint soft step up to the couch for Benson, but also to use in other ways, like myself lounging in the living room with the doggos.

Usually these guys greatly dislike things that change. But I just watched Benson climb up on this thing without me having to do anything. He almost, immediately, adopted it.

Note quite on the couch, yet!
