A friend of mine was at the rally at the BC Legislature today in Victoria.
“Elbows up and arms extended to our American friends” was the message.
She said it was quite possibly the most moving protest rally she'd ever been to.

Took us 2 hours to vote.
Respectful line of neighbours.
People are voting against Sim and his inner council.
I hope we can keep this interest up for the next election.
The advanced voting was a sign and the city didn’t want to read it. Never have I experienced this kind of wait.
There should be MORE voting stations.

Hey #citycouncilofvancouver, never reading the room? Or are you scared? Need more support for voting.
We are in a lineup that looks to be hourS long.
Everyone I’ve talked to is mad at the Mayor (guy linked to Chip Wison, also linked to Cons)
So happy to see people inspired to participate.

Because when the world feels dark there is always hope.
Steinbeck hung his hat on that.
UPDATED: #BritishColumbia est.'d #COVID19 cases, the same per 100,000 pop. by health authority.
According to #BCCDC wastewater #SARSCoV2 data: on average, from 3/19 - 3/25, there would've only been 312 cases/day in #BC ( 297, 3/12 - 3/18).
I found this #BC Supreme Court ruling on #ClearviewAI absolutely delicious, especially the findings that the #PIPA Personal Information Protection Act applies to out-of-province companies with a “real and substantial” connection to BC and that the act of processing personal information from people in BC from the internet is sufficient to form that connection #ai #privacy https://www.blg.com/en/insights/2025/03/court-upholds-privacy-commissioners-order-against-foreign-ai-company

It seems likely he will be removed if this election plays out as the current conservative pollsters are pushing: they are clearly pushing the narrative of "if not #CPC, then #LPC at any cost!"
Which I find extremely telling. Do we really want to elect Angus Reid's second choice after #PP?
Reality is: most #BC and #AB ridings are more likely to elect #NDP or CPC than LPC. This may be true in #SK & #MB, and elsewhere. We need clean data from the sources, not Fournier's weighted model.
Egg prices soar in the U.S. but not in B.C. Here's why
Rising egg costs have been a hot-button topic in the United States, but a farming organization in British Columbia says that while prices in the province have risen, eggs remain "one of the least expensive proteins in the grocery store."
