This is so cool! Through the nonprofit called David's Chair, my Aunt was able to use an all-terrain wheelchair for free, and to enjoy the Oregon coast with her family. https://davidschair.org/

@kimlockhartga I just read the backstory. One of my best friends has ALS, she's had it for over a year and is still doing ok but is confined to a wheelchair. She's in Alabama, I wish this program was nationwide. So wonderful for people in the Pacific Northwest.
@Jennifer I wonder if any of the Alabama State Parks have them.
@kimlockhartga lol no, there's hardly any funding for parks here. My friend has a pretty good wheelchair just not like that!

@BrambleBearGrrrauwling @kimlockhartga I read their website and the wheelchairs are really expensive, then they have to arrange transport to different places. It would probably be super expensive to expand

@kimlockhartga Gilgamesh Brewing in #Salem #Oregon has a hefeweizen style wheat beer called David's Chair, IIRC they donate a portion of the profit of selling the beer to this charity:

Pretty shure if one does record using it in #FirstPerson perspective sith a #GoPro and adds some Mick Gordon or Frank Klepacki soundtrack to it it'll get like demon blades and Nod Logos over it!

@kimlockhartga what in the absolutely awesome tank wheelchair!?! I have long wondered if something like that exists. I am still mobile, but only in the sense that I can get around the house slowly. There are places I would like to see again that I have no chance of getting to on my own. This gives me hope
