I think a lot about the stage dialogue between Tomalak & Picard, specifically with Picard replying to Tomalak regarding if he was willing to give his life and the lives of his crew:
"If the cause is just, they are prepared to give their lives."
I think about that a lot today and how more Americans should have been working toward this posture, because the Nazis intend to force them to give their lives one way or another & they've been deluding themselves about this for way too long.
I am specifically thinking about the healthcare industry's accommodators of fascism.

When you start to compromise and say a certain subsection of the tapestry of your society is expendable and an acceptable loss, that trickle of snow builds down the mountain until before you know it, your society is being ravaged house by house. I’m not sure who’s leading the resistance in this timeline, and there may well not be any resistance yet given the penny has yet to drop for most people, but I hope whoever they are that they're working on some structured knowledge dissemination to counteract the fact the fascists own nigh on our entire media. We are going to be collectively waterboarded in fash misinformation in the next few years

We can each disseminate knowledge (wheatpasting, leaving zines in little free libraries, etc etc). There's nothing that "the resistance" can build that would counter the fash misinformation machines at this point anyway. Something something the revolution will not be televised
