3 masked patients out of 12 in waiting room so we waited in hallway. 2 unmasked staff members seen behind reception desks. Doctors are masked.

@PhoenixSerenity sounds very similar to my doc's. Conflicting messaging too. Signs in reception saying masks are recommended and preferred/requested (but not mandated) yet some staff wearing and some not. However a written appointment confirmation states that mask wearing WILL be required.
I think though the root cause of the wishy washyness is lack of gov/legal mandate. When masking was mandatory 'that was that' barring medical exemption.

@PhoenixSerenity what a nightmare. At least here it's not for the same reason, more down to lack of direction since the previous right wing idiot govt. declared "It's over". That said I think the current govt. has to step up. "But 'the people' won't like it" is holding too much sway by far.

Our eugenics loving PHO, Bonnie the Monster Henry also declared covid pandemic was over. I truly HATE HER.

I remember people being very upset when smoking was banned indoors too. It took about 5 years for it to be normalized.
